EFSA’s PlantHealth4Life campaign for the first time in Croatia

In addition to socializing, one of the main objectives of the B2Run race is also to promote a healthy lifestyle, the HAPIH team decided to use the opportunity to promote EFSA’s “PlantHealth4Life” campaign and once again emphasize the connection between human and plant health.

This race was a great opportunity to emphasize the connection between human health and plant health, which is also the focus of the “PlantHealth4Life” campaign, because healthy plants mean healthy and safe food.

The campaign is led by the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA), the European Commission (EC) and 22 European countries. The national ambassador of the campaign is the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food (HAPIH)

Participants in an EFSA-funded HAPIH’s interactive gastronomic workshop used an opportunity to reveal the ingredients of a dish through an educational quiz and contemplate about what’s on the plate

HAPIH’s and EFSA’s newly launched “Safe2Eat” campaign will educate consumers on a number of food-related topics including understanding labels, handling food, foodborne illnesses, recycling food and promoting practices that can reduce food waste.

Representatives of national institutions in the field of food safety gathered for the fifth year in a row, to exchange updates and find out the latest engagement opportunities offered by EFSA.

HAPIH organized the national celebration of World Food Day in Osijek, featuring a round table discussion on ‘Intelligent Management of Water Resources in the Agricultural and Food Sector’.

As a precursor to World Food Day and as part of the #EUChooseSafeFood campaign, HAPIH organised a pub quiz led by the famous Croatian chaser Morana Zibar.
