After the B2Run business race in Osijek, the business race in Zagreb was another opportunity to connect colleagues, strengthen team spirit and promote the “PlantHealth4Life” campaign, whose ambassador in Croatia is the Croatian Agriculture and Food Agency (HAPIH).
Unlike the extremely high temperature runners experienced at the race in Osijek, in Zagreb they were accompanied by heavy rain from the start to the finish line. Despite unfavorable weather conditions, more than 3,000 runners ran or walked the five-kilometer path around the Jarun lake. According to the organizers, B2Run is an international race whose focus is to strengthen team spirit. Taking into consideration that, in addition to socializing, one of the main objectives of the B2Run race is also to promote a healthy lifestyle, the HAPIH team decided to use the opportunity to promote EFSA’s “PlantHealth4Life” campaign and once again emphasize the impact that plant health has on food safety, and thus and on people’s health. Catchy slogan on our team’s shirts, “I won’t bring myself flowers, I’ll run 4 plant health 4 hours!” was once again used as a reminder of the importance of responsible behavior when traveling and not bringing in plants that do not have a plant passport, as this protects the health of plants on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
