At the B2Run business race in Osijek, the HAPIH team was awarded as the most creative for the slogan “I throw myself into work, but I don’t throw food”.
As a pre-launch of EFSA’s campaign EU Choose Safe Food, HAPIH presented the national results of research on the habits related to food purchasing, preparing and storing.
Representatives of national institutions in the food safety system gathered at the end of another year to exchange news and learn about the latest collaboration opportunities at the national level as well as with EFSA.
HAPIH organised the educational workshop at the Zagreb Food Truck Festival. Food influencer Hungry Mile joined HAPIH experts to increase awareness of the importance of handling food safely and reducing food waste.
Ingredients with the label “Hrana s hrvatskih farmi i polja” were used to cook breakfast. During the preparation of the delicacies, visitors had the opportunity to hear food safety tips from HAPIH experts.
Experts from HAPIH and EFSA shared their knowledge and experience on risk assessment with participants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.
In addition to the team spirit, the HAPIH team also promoted EFSA’s campaign by running five kilometres in T-shirts bearing symbolic messages about food safety.
“The consumers are also responsible. Education and raising awareness are on all of us,” it was pointed out at the launch of this year’s edition of EFSA’s #EUChooseSafeFood campaign.
