With chef Melkior Bašić as the workshop’s leader accompanied by an expert advisor from HAPIH’s Center for Food Safety, Vlatka Buzjak Služek, the participants learned about the use of leftover food, as well as about the safety rules that should be followed when preparing a meal.

The organizers, along with partners which included Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food (HAPIH), European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences (FAZOS) and Croatian Chamber of Agriculture (HPK) have gathered close to 400 participants on October 4th in Osijek.

EFSA’s PlantHealth4Life campaign for the first time in Croatia

In addition to socializing, one of the main objectives of the B2Run race is also to promote a healthy lifestyle, the HAPIH team decided to use the opportunity to promote EFSA’s “PlantHealth4Life” campaign and once again emphasize the connection between human and plant health.

This race was a great opportunity to emphasize the connection between human health and plant health, which is also the focus of the “PlantHealth4Life” campaign, because healthy plants mean healthy and safe food.

The campaign is led by the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA), the European Commission (EC) and 22 European countries. The national ambassador of the campaign is the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food (HAPIH)
